Better by far than Civ 3, better than Civ 1, as playable and long lasting as Civ 2 (maybe - I still play Civ 2 20-something years on!). This is endlessly re-playable, although you will have to edit the game settings, try out the different rulers and different playing techniques, otherwise you will get bored.
